Course description
You will acquire the basic English skills necessary for presentation and paper writing in academic fields including science and technology. You will understand the sequence of Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Summary in oral presentation and papers and acquire the English phrases and vocabulary used in each part. For this sake, you will handle various methods for presenting various topics in science and technology. You will make mock presentation and acquire the skills to use them through drill. The topics include internal combustion engine, bridges, laser, and plant growth. You will understand the methods of "presenting purpose and methods," "construction of logical story," and "connection between topics."

To acquire the basic English skills necessary for presentation and paper writing in academic fields including science and technology.
