Course description
The structure and function of cells composing life, and their growth systems and functional expression as individuals are systematically explained. DNA as the genetic material that defines life, and the pathway in which its genetic information leads to actual functional expression are explained in an easy-to-understand way.
Purpose of class
Science understanding life phenomena is biology, and understanding of biology is essential for understanding life sciences. The purpose of this class is to study wide and basic areas in biology. Study of 【Biology II】 , which will be implemented later, will help you to understand the contents of biology in general.
Goals and objectives
  1. To be able to understand the basic structure and functions of life
  2. To be able to understand the system of energy metabolism
  3. To be able to understand the mechanism of genetics and the signaling pathways

The exam covers printed documents, additional documents, lecture notes and oral comments. You could get 80% in the exam, if you fully understand the content of the lecture.
Textbooks and reference materials
Textbooks is not used.
Printed document will be distributed, or students have to print documents downloaded from the share folders individually (one of which is indicated during the lecture).
