Course content
The goals of this course are to understand "Urban Environmental System" to ensure people live and work in a safe, comfortable, efficient, and healthy environmental space in terms of Urban Environmental System Planning.

Classes are conducted mainly by reading related academic papers.
Teaching materials are decided from latest journal papers according to the situation of the participant's majors and interests.
Purpose of class
This course introduces the way to plan and develop "Urban Environmental System" in building environmental engineering and building equipment engineering field in terms of sustainability and resilience to students taking this course.
Goals and objectives
  1. At the end of the course, participants are expected to explain the essential concepts of urban environmental systems.
  2. At the end of the course, participants are expected to describe the role and occupational, professional ability as environmental system engineers to promote environmentally sensitive and responsible buildings and cities.
  3. At the end of the course, participants are expected to understand essential point of latest related papers.

Your final grade will be calculated according to the following process: Report(50%), Presentation(50%), and a fraction of in-class contribution.

Prerequisites
Basic knowledge(undergraduate level) of building environmental engineering and building equipment engineering is a prerequisite for this course.

Applicatable Taking advantage of experience engaged in Urban Redevelopment projects and R & D project of building equipment system (including patent application) and business management of construction company, we teach concepts required for the promotion of environmental city and the development of environmental building.
With the cooperation of companies, municipalities and research institutes and other institutions, practical experience personnel will carry out practical education.
