ネットワークを通じて時間場所を問わずに利用することができるクラウドサービスなどを実現するための技術基盤として、ネットワークを通じて形成される分散システムが使われている。このようなネットワークと分散システムに着目し、その構築技術、しくみ、応用について学ぶ。
自立分散的なネットワークやシステムを構築、設計、運用するための技術を理解し、応用するための技術を得ることを目的としている。
