Medicinal Chemistry and Organic Synthesis/Exercise1

suhara yoshitomo

hirota yoshihisa
Course content
To understand synthetic medicinal chemistry, synthesis of compounds library and evaluation of their biological activities will be examined. Based on those findings and the pharmacophore analysis, compounds possess more potent activity will be designed.
Goals and objectives
  1. To acquire knowledge and skills of designing and synthesis of functional molecules based on biologically active substances.
  2. To understand the structure activity relationship of biologically active compounds and the influence on the living body at the gene or cell level.
  3. Understanding of the design of biologically active molecules.
Language
Japanese
Class schedule
Biologically active compounds will be synthesized. For these compound groups, evaluation of biological activity will be carried out using cells and the activity correlation will be also examined. Pharmacophore analysis is carried out based on these information, and a compound having strong physiological activity is designed.
Evaluation method and criteria
