Course description
Following English Reading 1, this course is to further develop basic reading skills and elementary English grammar by familializing themselves to a variety of reading materials from TOEIC questions to academic readings. Particularly, students are expected to acquire more advanced reading skills required in daily activities including business.

Evaluation method and criteria
The final grade combines the following scores. *Maximum 100 points in total.
1. 1/10 of the TOEIC-IP score administrated in the final exam week
2. Scores from quizzes
3. Score from the in-class final exam or its substitute
4. Homework

The following is the attendance policy:
1. 2/3 or more class attendance.
2. Two tardies count as one absence. Students show up no later than 30 minutes from the beginning is granted one tardy. Those who show up 30 minutes or more later may attend a class, but no tardy is granted.
*Excused tardiness, such as delays of public transportations, may be treated as normal attendance, or tardiness, but documentation is required.
