Course description

This course deals with microcontroller board and hardware and software co-design. Students will learn the basic of the Arduino Uno microcontroller board (or any other board that follow Arduino Uno specifications) by themselves, build and demonstrate the assigned electronic circuit, and 2) create an implementation planning sheet for each advanced electronic circuit using the microcomputer as a final project (1 plan per group), build and demonstrate the circuit and to be submitted as the final report.

Purpose of class

Students are expected to acquire the skills of engineering design and group work in electronics through fabricating practical electronic circuits. The group work is supposed to be carried out with students with other fields in the future.

Evaluation method and criteria

Achievement in the basic knowledge of the microcomputer 50%, and achievement in the course project 50%. You must score at least 60 points or higher out of 100 to pass.
