Course description
We will conduct online teaching for this course in Fall 2020.
The course covers the standard level of chemistry for international baccalaureate. The students will learn the basics of stoichiometry, atomic structure, and chemical bonding. Basis of energetics and thermochemistry will be covered together with issues of kinetics and equilibrium. The topics of acids and bases, redox reactions, organic chemistry will be explained. An introduction to the chemistry of materials and energy-related topics will be covered.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this course is to teach students the basics of chemistry. The knowledge level in chemistry among students will be evened out.
