Course description
Knowledge of material dynamics and appropriate modeling of the structure are necessary when design of the mechanical structures and investigating the cause. In order to develop the such ability, it is necessary to solve various problems of mechanics of material.
In this class, students solve exercises on mechanics of materials in the first half, and deepen theoretical understanding. In the second half, students separate into each teacher and conducts creative experiment exercises to cultivate problem solving skills and creativity.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this lecture is to solve the problems of mechanics of materials and to develop the ability to solve problems for issues occurring in actual mechanical structures.
Goals and objectives
  1. To calculate displacements of structures members which is receiving loads.
  2. To calculate stresses in structure members which is receiving loads.
  3. To comprehensively understand the strength and stiffness of mechanical structures, and to create structures with new functions.
