Course description
Students will learn the fundamental theory of elasto-plasticity which includes various stress-strain responses of elastic-plastic materials, yield criterion, flow theory, several approaches for stress-strain analysis.
Purpose of class
Students are requested to understand the basic concepts and equations such as yield criterion , work hardening and the Bauschinger effect that are essential in solving problems of elastic-plastic deformation.
