2 Sophomore thesis program I
Students will belong to other several laboratories as well as the supervisor's laboratory to experience a multidisciplinary
approach, learn different research objectives and methodologies, and acquire necessary knowledge and skills through the research
activities. Also, students will participate in research work as a member of a team in each laboratory and realize what are
common and different in conducting research. Based on the experiences in different laboratories, students will learn how basic
knowledge for science and engineering is applied to problem-solving in real R&D sites from different viewpoints. Finally,
students will acquire an ability to respect and appreciate “diversity and inclusion” and a comprehensive perspective for science
and engineering through collaboration with diversity-enriched team members. The activities in other laboratories should be
reported to the supervisor every week.
The purposes of this course are to experience a multidisciplinary research environment by belonging to different laboratories,
and to understand the importance of this approach to conduct research from different viewpoints.
