This course addresses the causes and nature of current major environmental problems from several interrelated perspectives,
including scientific facts, social background, complicated relations among stakeholders, availability of technologies and
systems, and international framework. A recognition of the complex of environmental problems needed to address current international
development is the primary focus of this course.
Students will learn the basic knowledge of major environmental problems and their measures including air pollution, water pollution, waste problems, and climate change, and comprehensive approach for sustainable development which is a fundamental concept in current international development, and skills of the project management, examining best mix of policies and technologies in line with the concept of sustainable development.
*In 2020, the course will be provided online by zoom.

Maximum enrollment is twenty. If the enrollment entry exceeds twenty, those who have higher score of TOEIC (or other official score certificate) will be accepted. Priority will be given to the students in the International Program. Short term international students who have equivalent skill of English can take this class by the approval of instructor.
最大履修人数は20名であり、希望者がそれを上回る場合はTOEIC（又は他の語学試験）の得点が高い順に20名までとする。国際プログラムの学生は優先的に履修できる。特別留学生で同等の英語力がある学生は、担当教員の承認により履修できる。
