Course description
Strength of materials is fundamental to mechanical engineering and it is important to understand strength of materials for students belonging to the Biomedical Enginnering Course.
Purpose of class
This course aims to help students understand strength of materials to become available for calculation of intensity for mechanical design.
Goals and objectives
  1. To understand forces of tension and compression, shearing force and torsion
  2. To understand stress and strain for using them to perform analysis of stress
  3. To perform calculation of intensity for mechanical design
Language
Japanese
