Recently, the collegiate professional education is required students to have a sense of purpose as a member of society, to
have an experience in the real society, and to enhance the ability to accurately comprehend the social needs, so as to develop
the skills of responding flexibly to various changes in the social environments.
This practical subject will be a help to know the real conditions of social activities, to choose a prospective their own
path, and to enhance their consciousness of a sense of professionalism, through having an experience in the job-site such
as companies, government offices, and resident organizations.
The aim of this practical subject is to help students acquire an understanding of the knowledge, technology, and skills for
practicing the jobs, through having an experience in the job-site such as companies, government offices, and resident organizations
(for a week, actual working for 5 to 6 days.)
- Understand the knowledge, technology, and skills required in the real society, through working on the internship.
- Understand the basic attitude and generic skills of responding flexibly to various changes in the social environments.
- Find out and show goals newly for your own learning and studies.

The course will be implemented according to the in the form of the internship provided by Carrier Support division. The learners should take counsel with the third-year class teacher and each teacher in charge of architecture or urban and
environment or social science; then, explore and decide the receiving side such as companies, government offices, and resident
organizations etc. Note: the learners should go out of pocket for traffic expenses etc., and buy an insurance policy.

Evaluation method and criteria
The each teacher in charge of architecture or urban and environment or social science will grade the practice based on “On-the-job
Note”, “Reports”, and “Evaluation List” submitted.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:
-Explore and Decide the Working Place: 10%
-On-the-job Note: 40%
-Reports: 40%
-Evaluation List: 20%
To pass, students must earn at least 60 points out of 100 by submitting all the above-mentioned performances on time.
Textbooks and reference materials
Textbook and reference materials specified by the receiving side.
-You should take “Social Practice 2,” after you will take up “Social Practice 1.”
-Students are also allowed to take “Social Practice 1”and “Social Practice 2” at the same time; to deal with as one receiving
side and one term (for 2 weeks, actual working for 10 to 12 days.)

- The third-year teacher will respond questions and consultations about this course.
- About the professional subject that you are interested in, you should take counsel with the each teacher in charge of architecture
or urban and environment or social science.
- 2017: Every Monday 12:45〜13:00 or will respond to your e-mail.
