1 Outline of Medicine for Engineers
Medical knowledge that is needed for researchers and engineers who relate the medical and health are reviewed. In this class,
basic human structure and function, representative disease, medical instruments and Japanese medical system are introduced.
The purpose of this class is to obtain the basic medical knowledge.
To understand the basic principles and mechanisms of medical devices that measure biological phenomena and pathological changes
in the body, and acquire the knowledge necessary for the development of medical devices.
- To be able to explain Japanese medical system.
- To be able to explain various diseases.
- To be able to explain the principle, mechanism and use of various medical devices.

Evaluation method and criteria
Examination(Quiz): 50%, Discussion: 40%, Review: 20%, Report:10% (Pass mark: ≧60%)
Assignments will be conducted using Scomb in each class.
60% of total score is a level at which you can understand the contents of the handouts and explain them briefly.
