建築構造・耐震構造に関わる各種のテーマについて，調査，実験，解析等を実施し，社会発展に資する知見を導く。
2020年度に予定するテーマは以下のとおり。
1) 小型模型の振動実験による減衰性能の評価
2) 仮動的実験による小型模型の動的挙動追跡
3) 耐震補強されたRC建築物（＝大宮4号館）の実性能評価
4) 極度に劣化したRC建築物（＠軍艦島）の構造安全性能
