gPBL in Europe
Course content
The class will provide the opportunity of the workshop with the students of the University in Europe. Teams consist of students of both SIT and European University will be formed and they work on research, planning and design for designated sites.
The topics will cover the issues of urban design, environmental planning and transportation that the teams are interested in. Students have discussions in the team and are requested to do final presentation in English.
In 2020, due to the coronavirus, international communication will be done online, and domestic activities will be done in combination of face-to-face communication and online.
Purpose of class
The participants will learn the history, culture, social and economical conditions of the study area in Europe, and acquire the skills to work with the students in different cultural background by doing research, planning and design.
Goals and objectives

Prerequisites
The students who have interests to take this class are kindly requested to report to the instructor in the first week of each academic year at SIT. This class may not be offered unless sufficient number of students is willing to take this class both at SIT and the partner university in Europe.
