1 Biomedical Polymer Chemistry /Exercise 1
Polymers are widely used for biomedical applications. In this exercise research is focused on biomedical application of
photo-functional polymers, such as fluorescent probes, photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy, and photo-polymerizable
macromers.
Research plans will be made through discussions with the supervisor, experiments will be conducted, research results will
be discussed at seminars, and finally master’s theses will be completed. At the same time, students are expected to present
their research results at society meetings and in international academic journals.
- To obtain the scope of the use of polymers in medical technology.
- To obtain the scope of the use of photochemical techniques in medical technology.
- To acquire skills to estimate and evaluate innovative effects of polymer chemistry research to medical technology.
- To improve skills to give an effective research presentation.
