Course description
This course covers several 3D measurement principles in surveying. It also includes basic error theory in measurements. Through designs of surveying instruments, students can understand the above-mentioned contents.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this course is to propose surveying methodologies improved through the designs of surveying instruments.

Evaluation method and criteria
The final grade will be composed of “Class participation, Team work and Companionship (50%),” and, ”Final reports (50%)”

Emphasis in the Report submission and evaluation (the Final Exam) will be placed upon
Identification of the proper instrument to be used in a given situation
Accuracy in measurement of quantities from these instruments
Representation of datasheets and maps/models

Evaluation:
S = 100% - 90%, A = 89% - 80%, B = 79% - 70%, C = 69% - 60%, D < 60%
