Semiconductor Materials

kyuno kentaro
Course description
The aim of this lecture is to understand the principles of semiconductor devices based on the knowledge of solid state physics. The physical properties, such as electronic structure of materials, carrier generation and transport phenomena in semiconductors, will be treated in the first half. The second half deals with the physical principles of semiconductor devices, such as p-n junction diodes and transistors.
