Course description
This course, “General Chemistry B”, is the direct continuation of the Fall semester course “General Chemistry A”. To follow “General Chemistry B” it is mandatory to have followed and passed “General Chemistry A”.
This course introduces foundations of chemistry at the university level, including equilibrium phenomena; nuclear chemistry; chemistry of the main group of elements; the transition elements and coordination compounds; the rare earth elements.
Purpose of class
The aim of this course is to help students acquire an understanding of the principles of chemistry and chemical elements on the advanced level.

Evaluation method and criteria
The Mid-term exam #1 in the classroom will contribute 30% of student`s grade.
The Mid-term exam #2 in the classroom will contribute 30% of student`s grade.
The Final exam in the classroom will contribute 40% of student`s grade.
To pass the student must earn a total score of 60% or more.

Prerequisites
“General Chemistry B” is the direct continuation of the Fall semester course “General Chemistry A”. To follow “General Chemistry B” it is mandatory to have followed and passed “General Chemistry A”.
The students who have not followed and passed “General Chemistry A” will not be accepted to follow “General Chemistry B”
Only the students who have followed and passed “General Chemistry A” can directly follow the course “General Chemistry B”
