Reading&Writing I1
The aim of this course is to develop the students’ reading and writing skills. By reading passages of a variety of content,
students will enhance their ability to read both for gist and specific details without relying on translation into Japanese.
They will also use the passages to improve their usage of grammar, and will be expected to respond to what they have read
with discussions and short writing assignments. They will also be required to study the sub textbook through self-study to
gain higher scores on the Reading Section of the TOEIC test.
- To be able to read texts of general content accurately and smoothly.
- To be able to understand and employ a range of fundamental grammar and vocabulary.
- To be able to discuss and write about what has been read.
- To be able to gain a higher score on the TOEIC test.
