2 Elastoplasticity TheoryA
Students will learn the fundamental theory of elasto-plasticity which includes various stress-strain responses of elastic-plastic
materials, yield criterion, flow theory, several approaches for stress-strain analysis.
Students are requested to understand the basic concepts and equations such as stress, strain, yield conditions and constitutive
equations that are essential in solving problems of elastic-plastic deformation.
- Acquiring the skill to solve mechanically some issues about plasticity
- Understanding the equilibrium condition between powers in combined stress state
- Understanding the flow-rules for metals
