Course description
The main aims of this course are to deepen knowledge and understanding of electric materials in order to improve engineering design ability.
We will focus on basic knowledge from the viewing points of material science.
Purpose of class
The aim of this class is to help students master the basic knowledge of electric materials and their applications.
It starts with electrical and magnetic properties of the materials based on atoms and molecules.
Next, students should be able to understand the basic concepts of conductor, dielectrics, insulators, semiconductors and magnets.
Upon successfully completion of the course, students can get many basic knowledge about the physical properties and their applications in highly industrialized society.

Evaluation method and criteria
Your final grade will be calculated according to the following process:
Reports including score ring 60%
Term-end examination 40%
To pass, students must earn at least 60 points out of 100 that is minimum requirement to satisfy the goals an objectives.
