Course description
Students will continuously belong to other several laboratories as well as the supervisor's laboratory and propose any ideas to promote the research in each laboratory based on the specific knowledge gained through collaboration with members in each research team. Also, students will discuss the proposals with the supervisor and the laboratory members, trying how they could be utilized in the research in the laboratory. Through this approach, students will deepen the insight how basic knowledge for science and engineering is utilized to problem-solving in a real research activity. At the same time, students will understand the importance of multi-faceted thinking from global perspective. Finally, students will learn a variety of discipline-specific knowledge and advanced engineering skills needed to perform the graduation thesis research under the guidance of the supervisor and senior students in the laboratory.
Purpose of class
The purposes of this course are to continuously experience a multidisciplinary research environment discussing proposals with members in each laboratory, and to learn a variety of discipline-specific knowledge and advanced engineering skills needed to perform the graduation thesis research.
