Course description
The following themes are discussed in the course
(1) Outline and basic theory of landscape design
(2) Trend of landscape design in the modern and current world
(3) Local and regional landscape design
(4) Legal framework and regulations
This course is related to the Urban Environmental Design, which is hosted by the same instructor in the spring semester.
Purpose of class
The students will aquire the basic knowledge and skills of research, planning and design in urban landscaping.
Goals and objectives
  1. What is a condition of beautiful urban landscaping? How can it be achieved? Understand the basic concept.
  2. Understand the major trend, activities and opinions regarding to urban landscaping.
  3. There are some attractive urban places. Analyse and understand their physical characters and people's participation to make and maintain such places.
  4. Understand basic legal framework regarding to urban landscaping.
