Course description
There are some basic knowledge and skills that all lab students should learn and understand. This course provide with many opportunities to acquire basic knowledge about living things and life phenomena, and basic skills, to summarize and interpret results, and to experience the excitement of discovery in biology.
Purpose of class
This course will help freshman/sophomore level students to foster basic knowledge, and skills of biology and biological experiments, and analytical skills necessary to understand the applications of biology.

Evaluation method and criteria
Grading will be decided based on assignment, lab reports(40%), discussion(30%), presentation(30%). The passing score shall be 60 points or more. Schedules are subject to change.

Introduce texts and reference materials during the class.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of chemistry is required. This course has face to face discussion and practice. The maximum number for the lecture is approximately 20 people. In case of too many students registering for this course, we hold a draw.
