This course is a continuation of "introduction to multimedia technology". As multimedia technologies increasingly plays a
crucial role in many aspects of computer science and engineering fields, it is necessary to briefly understand it via its
wide range of applications. For that reason, this course provides insight into the applications of multimedia technologies
in data presentation, communications and networking.
Apart from several fundamental lectures, a numerous up-to-date research papers will be provided to students for interactive
discussions. By doing that way, this class aims to provide the students advanced and practical knowledge on the applications
of multimedia technologies in various topics ranging from data compression to multimedia communication techniques.

Presentation and communicative ability (50%) and discussion skill (50%) are the criteria of the grade. More than 60% of the
total score is needed for getting the course credit.
