Course content
Every life is in contact with the "environment", and no exception exists in this world. Every life is affected by various environmental factors, and in the case of humans, the environment affects health. It is extremely important both academically and socially to elucidate the environmental factors affecting human health and the mechanisms by which those effects are exerted.
In this subject, you conduct research and discussions to elucidate the mechanisms by which various environmental factors affect humans at the body, cell, and molecular levels, and develop new research promotion methods. Also, you learn and practice how to develop preventive or curative measures for health effects.
In addition, you learn and practice methods and presentation methods that can easily and accurately communicate your research content.
Goals and objectives
  1. Enable to understand papers related to the research theme and acquire necessary knowledge.
  2. Enable to acquire and master the experimental techniques required for performing research.
  3. Enable to perform presentation of your research details, and related research situation in the world in an easy-to-understand manner.
  4. Enable to objectively evaluate your research and revise your plan if necessary.
  5. Enable to make presentations at conferences and create and submit papers.

Class schedule
1. Students learn the knowledge necessary for the research theme by reading papers, and determine the direction of the research.
2. Students acquire and master the experimental techniques required for performing research.
3. Students give regular presentations on the progress of own studies in the Lab-meeting.
4. Students evaluate the results of the research themselves and modify the direction of the research at their own discretion.
5. Students make presentations at conferences and submit papers.
Evaluation method and criteria
One of the evaluations is based on the final research results (presentations at academic conferences, publications in academic journals, master's thesis), at the same time, the attitude toward daily research and learning, and the cooperation with laboratories and laboratory members are also a major part of the evaluation.
