1 Research in Advanced Mechatronics/Exercise1
The goal of this class is to understand the composition method of the mechatronics system which mechanical engineering and
electrical engineering united.
Moreover, you should understand the sensor technology, the actuator technology, the robotics, information processing, and
programming which are used in it.
- Understand how to configure a mechatronics system.
- Understand mechanical design methods in mechatronics systems.
- Understand how to design electrical circuits in mechatronics systems.
- Understand software design methods in mechatronics systems.
Students need to come to the lab every day.
In the laboratory students will design machines, design electric circuits, and even develop control programs.
Evaluation method and criteria
Students should be able to build up a simple mechatronics system using a micro-computer or a PLC, and be able to control it
by using a software that you wrote. Furthermore, an oral presentation at a conference or a poster presentation is a condition
of completion.
