Mechanism Design

HAYABUSA Keisuke
Course description
Mechanical design is a subject in mechanical engineering that includes mechanical science, mechanical element design, and dynamics of machinery. This subject includes the knowledge and experience that we inevitably encounter as engineers and designers when actually designing machines. In this lecture, we will first learn the outline of mechanical design. Then, understand examples of mechanisms such as machines, automobiles, and robots. We will also learn about the most important items in mechanics, such as the theory, design and application of links, cams and gears.
Purpose of class
1. Understand deeply the mechanism in an actual machine.
2. Understand the basic mechanisms such as links, cams and gears.
3. Understand the design and calculation methods required for mechanical design through exercises and practical training.
Goals and objectives
  1. Understand deeply various mechanisms
  2. Understand the basic mechanisms of links, cams, gears, etc.
  3. Understand the design and calculation methods required for mechanical design
Language
