Course description
This class aims to develop students' basic skills of English academic writing and enable them express their feelings and thoughts in English in various situations accurately and appropriately. Students have opportunity to read a variety of short passages to understand English paragraph organization. Then, they are asked to practice writing paragraphs in simple but appropriate English, attempting to make readers understand their opinions and thoughts as much as possible. At the same time, students can learn English vocabulary and grammar essential to the undergraduate level and understand the organization of academic English writing.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this class is to improve students' basic academic writing skills in English so that they become able to express their opinions clearly in accurate English.
Goals and objectives
  1. Students can understand the basic English paragraph organization and write a short English paragraph by themselves.
  2. Students can understand English vocabulary and grammar and write English passages using them.
  3. Students can write English paragraphs that are understandable for readers and can clearly express their opinions and thoughts in them.
