Course description
In order to become an excellent engineer or researcher, it is effective to learn about basic computer science and technology.
The scope of this course is to learn about the basic technologies in computer science and engineering and cutting-edge technologies in this research field.
This course follows an omnibus style. Many topics from computer science fields are involved such as introduction on human-computer interaction, programming, affective computing, computer architecture, AI (machine learning), data analysis, and so on.

In this class, students submit a short paper (minutes) paper for each lecture to obtain the ability to make a summary of the topic of the lecture.
The students are expected to write two long reports (academic-style reports) of the research topic of his/her choice. The detail for reports will be introduced in class.

The topics are as follows.
- Computer Mediated Communication (CMC)
- Human Computer Interaction(HCI)
- Programming Language
- Data Science/Engineering
- Computer Graphics
- Physical Interaction and Interaction Devices
- Affective computing and System platform
- Natural Language Processing
- Social aspect of Information Technology
- Distributed Computing
- Graph Theory and its Applications
- Health Promotion and Game Analysis
- Computer Architecture (Hardware and Silicon chips)
- Software Engineering
- Information Network
- Computer Shogi and Simulation Soccer
