4 Graduation Thesis 1
Based on fundamental knowledge on communication engineering, students work on projects assigned by the professor. Students
are supposed to join the discussion in the laboratory, to work on the assigned projects, and to write and present his or her
graduation thesis.
To acquire the ability to apply the fundamental knowledge that students have learned for the first three grades.
- To be able to find out where the problems exist and to set the goal of his or her project.
- To be able to find how to solve the problems of his or her project.
- To be able to evaluate the methods of his or her project.

Evaluation method and criteria
"Daily activities" are evaluated by the tutoring professor. "Thesis presentation" is evaluated by all other professors based
on designated evaluation guideline. Students can get the total score of 60% if they can achieve minimum level of evaluation
guideline.

From 1991 to 2007, I was engaged in research and development of communication networks that can be used in emergencies such
as disasters at the Communications Research Laboratory of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, the ATR Adaptive Communications
Research Laboratory, and the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology. Based on these experiences,
graduation researches on communication networks that can be used in times of emergencies such as disasters are instructed.
