Course description
In Bio-Medical Engineering research field, there are so many cases followed by the necessity to develop original device which has its function. In order to develop such original device, we need Design skill. As the current standard method to design is known to be CAD, however, two dimensional drawing is still important and fundamental knowledge to lead to CAD. In practical lecture covers at first Mechanical Design, at second practical experience of drilling machine, Milling machine, and Turning machine. Finally Numerically controlled machine such as machining center or turning center will be introduced.
Purpose of class
capacities to make drawing using third angle projection method, to understand 2D drawing. Experiences about Drilling machine, Turning machine, and Milling machine. Practically acquired products will be compared with 2 Dimensional drawing. Such comparison will make students further understand Design and Manufacturing procedure.

7. gear Gear. You should check its mechanism to function. 60minutes
8. Practice to use Micrometer, geometric tolerance parametric tolerances, please check. 60minutes
9. tolerance quality tolerance quality, you should understand this. it is very important. 60minutes
10. Milling machine Study milling machine, and how it works. Find advantage of this machine. 60minutes
11. Milling machine In order to maintain safety of attendance in this practical lecture at workshop, please check safety information during milling procedure. 60minutes
12. Turing machine Turning machine's working mechanism, please study this point. 60minutes
13. Turing machine
Please check safety information during such manufacturing procedure. 		60minutes
14. Introduction of CAM, G code, Numerically controlled manufacturing Numerically controlling program, G code should be studied in advance to this class. 60minutes

Each practical lecture is followed by Report. Students should make it important to try hard about such homework after the lecture.

You can buy any textbook about drawing, manufacturing, etc. But please remember that this lecture will follow Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS).
Japanese textbook is "初心者のための機械製図（森北出版）"，
Additional information will be distributed by lecturers.
Prerequisites
At the first guidance, some equipment will be introduced for attendees as necessary equipment in this lecture. You should follow such guidance.
In Japanese, following information is provided. 分度器、コンパス、定規をあらかじめ購入して酸化すること。製図作業においては、太い線と細い線を使い分ける必要があるため、製図専用シャープペンシル（太さが異なる2種）を用意する事。工作室における実習は、汚れてもいい格好、安全な服装で参加する事。スカートや短パン、サンダルなどはNGとします。髪の長い人は、束ねて参加して下さい。
