Course description
This course course will be conducted experiments on organic chemistry and microbiology.
Students learn procedures of synthetic methods for chemical compounds to develop understanding of classes of "Organic chemistry I" and "Organic Chemistry II".This class include how to treat reagents, organic solvents, and glass items for organic synthesis as well as purification and determination of chemical structure.
n the experiments on microbiology, students learn basic experimental methods such as culturing and morphological observation of microorganisms, and experience what they have learned in the lectures of specialized subjects to acquire theory as knowledge through experience and build a foundation for further study.
Purpose of class
To master how treat reagents, organic solvents, and glass items for synthesis of organic compounds.
Goals and objectives
  1. Further understanding of organic chemistry through the experiments.
  2. To master procedure of organic synthesis.
  3. To understand how to write a report.
  4. Learn how to handle microorganisms.
  5. To learn the basics of genetic engineering and be able to practice it.
Language
