Course description
Mechatronics is Japanese-made English that combines mechanism and electronics. However, nowadays, it is used all over the world as a term that refers to machines with brains such as computers, and by extension, the entire technology. In the class, you will learn the basics of each elemental technology that is the basis of mechatronics, and take a bird's-eye view of the entire technology. As an example of basic mechatronics, the goal is to understand the control technology by sequence control using an electromagnetic relay and PLC (programmable logic controller), and to understand the control programming by an embedded microcomputer.
Purpose of class
Mechanical elemental technologies such as actuators and power transmission mechanisms that make up mechatronics, electronic elemental technologies such as electronic circuits and various sensors, and software elemental technologies such as sequence control by electromagnetic relays and PLCs and programming by embedded microcomputers. To learn how to control a system that combines these.
