Course description
This course introduces the discipline of cultural anthropology.
We are apt to understand different culture through sense of cultural value we have developed in our own society. In this lecture, to be begin with, we recognize our innermost “ethnocentrism” and in turn discover cultural diversity, by surveying the significant areas of human society and culture anthropologists have studied.
Purpose of class
My main purpose in this class is for students to develop an appreciation for and understanding of cultural difference, and to gain a relativistic view and regard our own culture as only one system among many ones.

Term-end exam: if you comprehend the technical terms and theories referred in the lectures, you will get more than 60%. If you organize your thoughts on them, you will get over 80%.
