Course content
Research and analysis is the important part of design work. Often, design work regard as art work to decide products' color and shapes. However, the research has the large part to decide the direction of the product.
This course give student the idea of oral and literary and graphic logging survey based on ethnography in cultural anthropology.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this course is to learn ethnography techniques to organize not only the viewpoint of the manufacture but also the viewpoint of the user.
Goals and objectives
  1. To know the basics of participant observation. (Fieldnote check)
  2. Be able to write a fieldnote with sketch. (Fieldnote check)
  3. Be able to indicate the pros and cons of using DX tools for fieldwork. (Final presentation)
