Course content
This course aims to help students obtain knowledge and skills to write a logical and clear research paper to be submitted to an international academic journal or conference. The course also help students to enhance their knowledge of English grammar & expressions that are important for writing a research paper in English. The course contents are designed to enhance students' ability to communicate logically and effectively in global engineering context. Students will be given exercises, assignments and quizzes, and also required to write a short research paper as the final course product.
Purpose of class
To help students obtain knowledge and skills necessary to write a logical and clear research paper and to help them learn the key points of English grammar & expressions for writing a research paper in English.
Goals and objectives
  1. To be able to understand how to write a research paper and its logical structure
  2. To be able to understand the key points of English grammar and vocabulary that are important for a research paper
  3. To be able to write a research paper that is logical and easy to read by using knowledge acquired in class
