Course content
As the Internet has grown popular, many media-rich contents such as video deliveries and network games have become widely provided. It is necessary to develop novel data communication technologies and networking technologies for realizing efficient broadband data transfer. This course discusses content-delivery-based multimedia data communications and networking. The topic examples are shown as follows: (1) unicast communications, (2) multicast communications, (3) mobile or sensor multi-hop communications, and/or (4) latest trends of data delivery methods.
Purpose of class
The students who take this course learn content-delivery-based multimedia data communication methods and networking technology.
Goals and objectives
  1. The students can well understand the unicast communication protocols, especially routing protocols
  2. The students can well understand the multicast communication protocols, especially group management and routing protocols
