1 Advanced Science and Innovative Engineering
This course aims at introducing students to the current scientific and engineering developments in the fields of new materials
for energy, electronics, environment, and health. Teachers in this course will promote cross-countries mutual understanding
by engaging students into group discussions on technological challenges with students of different nationalities.
The purpose of the course is to develop human resources that can utilize latest scientific findings in developing new technologies
and engineers that have ability to bridge various scientific fields and work in different cultural environments.
- The students can understand and explain how natural resources change the form and are utilized in our society.
- The students can understand and explain the production and conversion of energy and relevant applications in a daily life.
- The students can understand and explain basic science and current technological developments in the field of batteries and
point-of-care testing.
- The students understand and explain the history and role of electronics in the development of technology.

Evaluation will be performed on the basis of short quizzes, reports/presentation.
Short quizzes will contribute 40% to your grade.
Reports/presentation will contribute 60% to your grade.
Students need at least 60% of the full score to pass this course.
