Course content
Various biomaterials are used in medical field. In this class, basic knowledge of metal, organic and inorganic materials will be explained. The participants read and understand the journals written in English, and survey the recent design and evaluation methods for biomaterials.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this class is to understand the biomaterials, and to acquire knowledge for resolving the problems of current biomaterials, developing the novel biomaterials and applying the artificial organ and tissue engineering.
Goals and objectives
  1. To be able to understand the journal for biomaterials.
  2. To be able to explain the evaluation method for biomaterials.
  3. To be able to explain the application for biomaterials.
  4. To be able to explain the principles and mechanisms of his/her research area and equipment/methods used.
