Course description
The course is divided into 5 parts:
1. Introduction of polymer (classification and systematics of synthetic polymers and biopolymers)
2. Polymer synthesis: polymerisation, kinetics, etc.
3. Polymer morphology and physico-chemical properties
4. Basic characterization and analysis of solid polymers and polymers in solution.
5. Application

The lecture for this course will be conducted through face to face manner in Spring 2023.
Purpose of class
To develop an understanding of the fundamentals in polymer chemistry covering:
1. The synthesis and characterisation of polymers
2. The relation between chemical structure, polymer morphology and physico-chemical properties
3. Methods for characterising and analysing polymers.
