This course is an introduction to the study of mechanics. It deals with fundamental points from classical mechanics to engineering
mechanics. Physics is foundation in all fields of natural science, and industrial technology. Especially mechanics is very
important discipline. Basic process of all natural phenomena, machine and device, up to elemental particle from the universe,
biology and chemistry, operate by the laws of physics. You will learn a part of statics and dynamics, for example, dynamics
of particles, the balance of forces in the plane and three-dimensional and the stability of the object of the center of gravity
and the balance.
This course lectures (1)Basic mathematics in statics, (2)Particle mechanics, (3)Rigid-body dynamics, (4)Center of rigid-body.
- The students should be able to analyze the motion of different objects by means of solving the equations of motions and explain the results.
- The students should be able to understand essence of force in statics rather than decomposition and composition of force, couple of force and calculation of moment.
- The students should be able to analysis of dynamics using the mechanical energy, momentum, kinetic and angular momentum.
- The students should be able to calculate force acting on member by knowing balance of forces acting on contact point and fulcrum.
- The students should be able to calculate position of the center of gravity of the object by knowing the center of gravity of the shapes and revolution.
