2 Laboratory Course of Geology and Mineralogical Chemistry
Students proceed experiments in the fields of mineralogical chemistry and geological mineralogy. Students experience the preparation
of thin films of minerals by polishing, the identification of containing mineral by polarized microscopy, composition analysis
by chemical analysis using alkali fusion, composition analysis using X-ray diffraction, observation of the geological structure
of the field.
Students learn chemical analysis method of minerals, observation method of minerals, the basic technique of geologic observation
method.
- Students will be able to acquire basic techniques of the mineralogical chemistry and the geological observation.
- Students will be able to understand the minerals that make up the earth's crust.
- Students will be able to understand geological structure by geological survey.
