YOSHIMI Yasuo
Course description
Conduct research based on the research theme specified by the supervising professor. Develop the ability to solve problems in terms of expertise, self-study, and planning. To improve the ability to explain the content of research in writing or oral presentation.
Purpose of class
To improve research skills and to improve written and oral presentation skills (emphasis will be placed on problem-solving skills as well as problem-finding skills).
Goals and objectives
  1. solve problems based on expertise
  2. solve problems through self-improvement
  3. resolve issues from an integrated perspective
Language
Japanese(English accepted)
Research Guidance
Medical Chemical Engineering
Research Content
1. to develop sensors to rapidly measure the concentration of various drugs in blood or food using molecularly imprinted polymer fixed electrodes originally developed by our laboratory.
2. to elucidate the mechanism of molecular recognition by the above sensor and find clues to further improve its performance. 3. to develop nanoparticles of molecularly imprinted polymers.
3. to develop an imaging technique using nanoparticles of molecularly imprinted polymers to observe patterns of transmitter secretion in the brain in real time.
4. to develop design methods to enhance the performance of the above nanoparticles.
Core hours in our laboratory are from 10:00 to 17:00. The student will not be bound to the laboratory but will be expected to engage in research. Grades will be based on research results rather than research hours. (One conference presentation is required.)
