4 Graduation Thesis 1
Based on fundamental knowledge on communication engineering, students work on projects assigned by the professor. Students
are supposed to join the discussion in the laboratory, to work on the assigned projects, and to write and present his or her
graduation thesis.
To acquire the ability to apply the fundamental knowledge that students have learned for the first three grades.
- Students can discover their own specialized issues with an inquisitive mind in response to social needs, and carry out everything
from planning to problem solving.
- Students can create technical materials and reports, and effectively present and discuss them.
- Students can enhance their inquisitiveness by independently selecting subjects and working on them continuously.
- Students can formulate a plan for a subject that they have independently selected, manage the progress, and revise the plan
as necessary to accomplish the task.
Legal Research on Engineering and Technology
Students consider deeply engineering and technology in society and cultivate their ability to suggest solutions to problems.
They analyze judicial precedent and doctrine regarding medical treatment or intellectual property, etc. and reflect on plans
for legal system (what a society should be).
Examples of Subject
- Medical Treatment: Medical Devices, Medical Information and Telemedicine, etc.
- Welfare: Disabled Person, Child and Abuse Prevention, etc.
- Intellectual Property: Patent, Copyright and Unfair Competition Prevention, etc.
- Information and Communications: Protection of Personal Information, Self-driving Car/System and Wiretapping in Criminal
Investigation, etc.
- Comparison with Foreign Laws
* It is desirable that students have gotten credit in at least one course of the legal field.

Evaluation method and criteria
"Daily activities" are evaluated by the tutoring professor. "Thesis presentation" is evaluated by all other professors based
on designated evaluation guideline. Students can get the total score of 60% if they can achieve minimum level of evaluation
guideline.
