Course description
In Bio-Medical Engineering research field, there are so many cases followed by the necessity to develop original device which has its function. In order to develop such original device, we need Design skill. As the current standard method to design is known to be CAD, however, two dimensional drawing is still important and fundamental knowledge to lead to CAD. In practical lecture covers at first Mechanical Design, at second practical experience of drilling machine, Milling machine, and Turning machine. Finally Numerically controlled machine such as machining center or turning center will be introduced.
Purpose of class
capacities to make drawing using third angle projection method, to understand 2D drawing. Experiences about Drilling machine, Turning machine, and Milling machine. Practically acquired products will be compared with 2 Dimensional drawing. Such comparison will make students further understand Design and Manufacturing procedure.

You can buy any textbook about drawing, manufacturing, etc. But please remember that this lecture will follow Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS).
Japanese textbook is "初心者のための機械製図(森北出版)",

Prerequisites
At the first guidance, some equipment will be introduced for attendees as necessary equipment in this lecture. You should follow such guidance.
In Japanese, following information is provided. 分度器、コンパス、定規をあらかじめ購入して酸化すること。製図作業においては、太い線と細い線を使い分ける必要があるため、製図専用シャープペンシル(太さが異なる2種)を用意する事。工作室における実習は、汚れてもいい格好、安全な服装で参加する事。スカートや短パン、サンダルなどはNGとします。髪の長い人は、束ねて参加して下さい。
