Topics in Pure and Applied Mathematics

This is a course for the global program at the Department of Mathematical Sciences. Lectures will be delivered in an omnibus
form. Each faculty member of the Department of Mathematical Sciences presents research topics in the field of mathematical
sciences in English each once. Students are expected to improve their English ability with a focus on mathematical sciences.

The object of this course is to know widely about research fields of mathematical sciences with lectures by faculty members
of the Department of Mathematical Sciences. Moreover, students are expected to improve their English ability with a focus
on mathematical sciences.

- to be able to understand research topics in the field of mathematical sciences
- to be able to understand basic English words and phrases in mathematical sciences
- to be able to write a technical report according to professors' instruction
